Srinagar, Sept 29 (KNO): Even after eight months since the vaccination drive against Covid-19 was started in J&K, 14 percent health care workers in J&K are yet to get their first dose of vaccine. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), around 14 percent health care workers are yet to take the first dose of Covid-19 while around 25 percent are yet to get the second jab. In Srinagar of 15,492 health care workers, 11,562 have received their first jab while 9,338 have received both jabs. “The percentage of health care workers who have received the first jab is 75 percent while 60 percent have received the second jab,” data available with KNO suggests. “In Kulgam of 5,347 healthcare workers, 88 percent have received the first jab and 73 percent have received the second jab. In Shopian, in 1764, 84 percent received the first jab and 80 percent received the second jab. In Bandipora, of 3,170, 72 percent and 70 percent have received first and second jabs respectively.” He said that in Anantnag of 8,841 healthcare workers, 68 percent have received first dose and 66 percent have received second dose and in Baramulla of 7,545 healthcare workers, 90 percent have received first jab and 85 percent have received second jab. “In Kupwara out of 7,761 healthcare workers, 70 percent have received the first jab and 64 percent have received the second jab. In Pulwama, of 3,767 workers 97 percent have received the first jab while 94 percent have received the second jab. In Ganderbal of 2,903 healthcare workers 84 percent have received first jab and 71 percent have received second jab and in Budgam of 5,914 workers 85 percent healthcare workers have received first jab while 85 percent have received second jab,” the data reveals. It further states that similarly in Jammu, Kishtiwar, Doda, Udhampur, Kuthua, Ramban, Samba, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi 94 percent, 74 percent, 98 percent, 100 percent, 93 percent, 94 percent, 100.00 percent, 100 percent, 90 percent and 77 percent healthcare workers have received first jab while as 78 percent, 53 percent, 88 percent, 85 percent, 70 percent, 89 percent, 92 percent, 79 percent 77 percent and 59 percent have received second dose respectively. “In aggregate form, of 122,235 heath care workers, 105,445 (86 percent) have received first jab and 90,804 (74 percent) have received second jab respectively,” the data adds—(KNO)
